University in Bergen

I had to take the final pictures for my photo class and the day I chose to go and take pictures was just unbelievably beautiful! This is a picture of my faculty - the faculty of social science in Bergen with the fantastic Mount Ulriken in the background! There is no city more perfect than Bergen on a sunny day, makes it good coming back! =)

Finally - a picture of my beautiful view!

one week has gone by..

Hello, its time for an update! I have tried to settle in during this week while I had an exam wednesday till friday, but I think it went rather well. Next week i have to hand in an abstract for my thesis, but I wtill think I will have some time to spear so I can spend some time with my friends finally!! I had to put all of that in hold this week.. First time back on duty yesterday. Nice to see the people I work with, who have become good friends of mine, and of course to be back in the wonderful world of Twisted stc- you get the best clothes from here! ;) Hehe..

My daily routines haven´t settles quite yet though.. There was a lot of mess deciding which courses I wanted to study this term since its my last - hopefully. I shouldn´t say that too often - people get expectations and I feel very pressured - HELP!! No, but I am taking 45 studypoints this semester so that will be interesting to see how goes. Java programming (10sp), method of social science or computerscience or something.. (A lot of P -> Q and stuff..) (5sp), informationsystems (15sp) and of course my bacheleorthesis on m-learning (15sp). Jei! I think I am going to get good use of the gift sertificate I got from Tommy on a nice massage in a SPA resort here in town - looking forward to it, but saving it for a week when it will be the most heavenly gift ever!!!

I really wish I could take a picture and show you my absolutely fabulous view to a concretewall and the construction site behind it... But I forgot to ask my mother if she could send it to me - can you mom? lots of things I wish I had here. Strange to go from living in my own apartment fully equipped with everything you need with its own space to place it in to a small room without a Tv!!!! and a kitchen where I can barely fit in the few things I brought with me such as one fryingpan and two dishes and two cups AND sharing all the commonrooms and things in them.. Strange yes.. miss having a place of my own, but the people here are really nice so I guess I can manage half a year.

That`s it folks!

Our final picture!

back to Bergen

As some of you already know, my travelling luck run out many years ago! So, this time the story is as follows.. I took the train to Bergen, and had looked forward to a beautiful scenery of snow on the mountains etc.. It takes approx six-seven hours and the highest trainstation is situated at 1222meters above sealevel! Anyway..

I sat down on my seat which was turned against the travelling direction which in turn I react to because I get travelling sicknessjust by sitting the right way.. In addition, the person sitting next to me smelled so badly of boose that I couldn´t even turn my head in his direction to look out the window without feeling really sick myself.. An everytime I tried I looked at him at was waiting for a firehose like puking cause he really really looked like shit.. I can´t complain too much about it because I explained the situation to the ticket man and I switched place so I could sit the right way. At that time I didn`t realise how lucky I was to still be seated in the same cart! I only noticed the three kids sitting next to me already bored out of their minds by sitting still for five minutes.. After some hours of trying to sleep (since I got up at 6.30 in the morning..) but failed because of their constant noise I found out that the smallest kid, the most annoying one wasn´t even part of this family! He was a kid, about five six years old, that found the only two kids in the train and decided that they should entertain him! haha, I laughed when I saw how much he was actually bothering them and then I just watched them pretending to be asleep and felt a little sad when they left me only half way to Bergen..

Next I felt a little hungry and went bacwards to the diningcart. As soon as I stepped through the sliding doors right behind my seat I was filled with joy that I at least had not been moved tothe other part of the cart! They apparently had a party going on! Drinking since we left i figured and already really drunk, they had turned on a radio for all and more to hear, more or less voluntarily! Poor people.. They started singing and laughing out loud and started to really really bug me when they finally left two hours before arrival in Bergen. =)

Then I noticed that the heaps of snow I just passed and wattched on the mountains, suddenly had changed into the typical western Norway weather of rain.. Yes, I was getting closer. I dozed of a couple of times before I reached my destination and could get out.

A day in the office

Weeeell, this has been another productive half a day of blogging and surfing around on the Internet. It is extremely difficult to get started on such assignments as the one I am starting on now because we can write about whatever, as long it is slightly related to media and journalism. Interesting per ce, but only to discuss loosely, I don´t have a clue how I will approach this methodical. Oh well, just another one of my successful bulls%&/ assignments.. =) The people who were with me in Helsinki knows what I mean!

I should never have come to the office with my mother, they have Internet here and my fingers have been itching the whole Christmas holiday to get back to the keyboard of my wonderful Mac and just look at stuff and reply on emails and blogposts and such. I should be surfing for stuff that I can use in my paper yes... I will do that the rest of the day. Promise.

keep having a productive day!

post - christmas and new years eve..

Hello everybody, I hope you all had a great and wonderful christmas time and an amazing new years eve celebration! I am still at home with my parents as I am awaiting to go to Bergen due to a paper and an exam I have to finish.. Yes, i know, I am a little slow and had to postpone my last course till January, but it actually doesn´t bother me at all! Nice to have something to do, besides I don´t have to restart my school engine (which I rarely am able to do untill March.. ) as I usually have to do at this time of year! ;) And my other courses went very well so I am sort of still floating on the results! =)

Well, i will move to Bergen in the middle of January and I think I have an apartment, or well, a 14 squaremeter room and a shared kitchen and bathroom with four others, but I guess that will be alright! =) Swore I wouldn´t live like that again, but it will remain to be seen what my roommates will be like! Looking forward to seing Bergen and all my friends again soon, but I will take all my fantastic memories from the autumn term in Helsinki with me!

Oh yeah, I have changes my language into English due to, of course, contacts abroad that would have had a bit trouble reading my posts in Norwegian.. or what?!

Lots of love to you all and I hope you had a peaceful start on a prosperous new year!!
